Also in response to NY Mag: Ariadne is an architecture student *in Paris*. I'm French, and I have many times seen/heard it remarked on by Americans that French women wear a lot more scarves; if this is true (I certainly do wear scarves a lot, I'm just not sure it's really a national fashion thing) then it's not surprising that Ariadne would have adopted a more Parisian style. Same thing goes for layers, actually; I was taught to layer very early on. *g*
