i was whining about it to my friends but mostly they were just like, "but in Inception don't all the characters wear.... suits?"

Yeah, unless it's something you take particular interest in and you know a little about tailoring, it can be kind of easy to miss just how great these suits are - and also the fact that the characters do wear things other than suits ;-)

For me, once I actually started really looking at the costumes on the DVD, it became egregious that Kurland was snubbed by so many awards. Like, I know he didn't have a chance at being nominated, but I really feel these are the best costumes I've seen in a long time.
