This is an incredibly interesting post, and I so appreciate all the time you obviously put into it. The first time I saw the movie, the costumes were one of the things that made the biggest impression on me -- there's very little character in the screenplay and so something like clothing really does pick up a lot of that weight in terms of making them feel more dynamic and real, and I think Kurland does such a brilliant job of it. But obviously I didn't pick up on a lot of the subtleties and details that you highlight here, so really -- thanks so much for taking the time to do this. I totally stayed up too late last night reading it because I just didn't want to stop. :P
