I am so glad I came tonight!

10 Things I Hate About You continues to approach TV show conventions and subvert them because it is awesome like that.

I can't believe that ABC Family cancels a show where teens are responsible about sex, going so far as to get themselves tested for STDs, and yet keeps the show about the girl who has a baby in high school. I thought they were all about, like, good values and stuff.

So, Kat and Patrick were kind of adorable for most of the episode. But then he chose his words poorly and she, already sensitive, overreacted and they fought in a very teen-like manner that we don't normally see on teen shows. It was practically the same fight they had after their first kiss, but I think this time, she was more at fault. She was so hyped up I think she wanted an out.

Michael coming out was really well done and also the first time that character has not been annoying. No, he doesn't have a crush on Cameron, but maybe Joey? Ha, yes, we all have a crush on Joey because he is amazing and supportive and wonderful.

Dawn and Cameron = delightful! They way she keeps on climbing all over him is hilarious. I like that they are finally mining the height difference for the comedy gold that it is.

Chastity and Cameron = kinda, sorta friends? I'm on board.

Bianca and Joey = the best. I like that she was totally supportive and did not try to sabotage his going to New York or talk him out of going like any other teen show would.

Walter and Mary Cherry = not half as crazy as I thought. That comment about her recommending East Coast colleges as being misinterpreted? HA! She doesn't want to be an evil step-mother.

In conclusion: I will miss this show so much. I hope it remains awesome until the end.

I have not watched this ep yet, but I am so annoyed with ABC Family. This is such a great series! What the F?
