I haven't read The Difference Engine but I really want to. This comic has rekindled my Ada love so I think I'm going to have to track down everything tangentially related to her.

I'm glad you find the Gilmore Girls fic funny because it seemed funny to me when I could hear Michel's voice in my head but I don't think it translates to the page unless you know he's a sneering Frenchman. But I didn't want to write out his dialogue all "I dooo not 'ave time for your leeetle jokes, Lorelai." I kind of want to read fic about every other character on Gilmore Girls solving crimes too. It could be a Stars Hollow thing! I bet Rory would make an excellent Watson to Paris's Sherlock.

*sigh* I miss that show.

Isn't The Dan and Blair Show the greatest? I've seen so many Chuck/Blair fans say exactly the same thing. I enjoyed Chuck and Blair in the first season but they became too twisted for me after he was re-conceived as a romantic lead after being the troublemaker. Dan and Blair are just magical together. He isn't so sanctimonious! She isn't filled with self-doubt and loathing! I want to watch them banter and solve crimes for ever.

"Uh, Waldorf? Why are we at Burberry?

"If we're going to open a detective agency together, then you need a trench coat," she tells him matter-of-factly.

When she pushes into the changing room, says he doesn't look too terrible and probably has the head for a fedora, he's absurdly pleased.

He still only wears the trench coat when it's weather-appropriate, though, preferring to get his genre kicks standing in darkened doorways or peering through horizontal blinds, thinking about the blonde who done him wrong.

I would actually keep writing that but it's 2:15 AM here.
