It's a giant colour coded conspiracy! VM picspam

Ok so we all know that I have a tendency to over analyse things when it comes to Veronica Mars. But I feel that the following picspam is of great importance.

The fans know (well 90% anyway) that Logan and Veronica are still in love with each other. They may not realise it but they show it through their clothing choices.

In the second season, they often wear the same colours when they share scenes together. Are their subconciouses influencing their apparel choice in order to show their secret love for each other?

Or is it just the wardrobing department?

These ideas and more have been explored under the cut along with many lovely pics.



Ok. The story goes like this. Afraid that the viewers would be unable to tell Logan and Duncan apart, they both got assigned different colour schemes for their clothing. Logan got the earth tones: green, brown, orange, occassional black; Duncan got the blues, greys and blacks.




Here we have Veronica all pretty in green and I actually like her hair in this pic. I think the longer hair makes her look too old to be in high school but in this pic it's kinda cute.




Logan is also in green. I really like this shirt. Do we see it again?




Here we have Logan and Veronica, both in green, both in the scene and poor old Dunc's in blue. He doesn't get to be in the 'Green is Good' club? Awww. I'd feel sorry for him except...I don't care.




Veronica is wearing an olive green cardigan thingy.




Logan is wearing an  olive green jacket. See! They are meant to be. Sure they were just having sex with other people but...colour co-ordination!

Logan in white and brown. I'm glad this shirt got burned up in the fire.




Ahh the happy couple. Veronica in green and white.




Same scene, Logan is also in white and green. Also glad that this sweater/jacket/thing got burned up.




This scene is really interesting to me. Here we have Veronica and Logan and they are in blue/black, traditionally Duncan's colours. 




While Duncan is in green, traditionally Logan's colour.  And he could have worn light blue or grey, but instead he wears green (for like the first time ever), thus going out of his way not to match Logan and Veronica.




Though it's hard to see, Veronica is in brown here.




Enter Logan, also in brown. And it appears he may be a Trekkie, in addition to being a Star Wars fan.

Ok. That was a  bit flimsy.




This isn't. Veronica in green.




Logan in green. I hope we don't ever see this sweater again.




It's a big ol' green scene.




Both in green. Both in denim jeans. Both their jackets could go away and I wouldn't be disapointed.


Ok so they don't always match up. But sometimes they do. And they match up when she is supposed to be in love with Duncan. Are their clothes telling the real story?

There are only a couple of instances where Duncan and Veronica co-ordinate.



At the dance.




When he's being the worst boyfriend ever.




When they're being sneaky.

When they're dealing with their issues and problems in a healthy way.





And yet when they're saying goodbye (YAY), she's in green again.


So what are we left with? Well the giggling fangirl in me says that it is obvious that Veronica really loves Logan.

The sensible, logical fangirl in me has another explanation. I read an interview with the costumer who said that  Veronica wears the greens and pinks to show her vulnerability and youth. The reds and oranges signal her emotional maturity.

Damn.

Also, Veronica and Duncan had more scenes in the first half of the season than Logan and Veronica. And you couldn't have Veronica and Duncan dressing the same because that would just be too weird and then they'd be 'the couple who wears blue all the time.' Much better to have ' the exes who don't have that many scenes together but when they do, often wear the same colours.'

I hate it when I rain on my own parade.

But I'll hope for more colour co-ordination

Yep. It's a good thing I'm back at uni and have classes to attend and assignments to do.
