Hee about the Australian guest stars and scenery not fooling you into thinking "foreign." Of course, it works for me. There's an episode in the second season where the guest stars have a very, very thick accent. It's either something they developed for the show, or an Australian/New Zealand dialect (but the Australian influence is definitely heavy). I've always wondered which. Let me know once you see "Taking the Stone" (an otherwise kind of crappy episode).
And, yeah, my two favorite lines in 1.1 are: "Freeze! Or I'll fill you full of... little, yellow, (quizically) bolts of light." And "You can be more..."
And "He is Crichton" is a great line. Also, the fact that EVERYONE beats Crichton up the first season? Well, I like that.
