Neptune Navigator Online

The latest and last issue of The Neptune Navigator Online is up.

It features, a review of The Graduate, a discussion about Communism (with Python references!) and a poem about Supernatural amongst other things.

It is the last, because the gang is off to college and they can't be doing a high school blog anymore. Keep watching [livejournal.com profile] neptune_online though, as we aren't done yet.

I'm really proud of this issue. The previous issue just abounds with awesome and I found it very easy to write. This week, I struggled a bit with my pieces. Still, I think this issue is as good as the previous one and that is because of the excellent team of writers and editors who contributed.

I was surprised yesterday when I realised that this would be our 11th issue. When this thing got started I thought I'd just be editing it - I never thought I'd be writing. I thought I wouldn't have too, that fic writers great and...not so great would be lining up to submit articles. That hasn't been the case. We do have a small group of quality writers who are fantastic - I just sometimes wish there were more of them!

However, I started writing with the first issue and I love it. It's a really fun way to write the characters and so far I've published 16 articles. My favourites though, are the ones I didn't write, just got to sit back and enjoy.

Which is something you can do right now. Go read, laugh, love and share with your friends.

I dunno, Ben. That teachers' "Sound Off" is one of my favorites and you wrote that... It is a good issue. Last week was out-of-control funny, but also a little fluffy. This week is hilarious and</i? it has depth. It might be my favorite. On to Hearst!

Thanks. For me, the Sound Off started out funny, but as I re-read it and re-wrote it, I stopped noticing the funny. That's why I love getting feedback - I need someone to objectively tell me I'm awesome ;-) I think this week's issue has a little more substance which is what I'm sensing you were going to say before lj cruelly cut you off ;-)

LOL. Yes. I messed up my tags. That last line should have read:

"...and it has depth. It might be my favorite. On to Hearst!"

Hey, take out your mention of Dick reviewing GG when you get a chance. I had to remove that piece. See my email about it.

I really love this issue, too and all of the other issues for that matter.

The Sound Off was really great, even if it was hard to write.

Here's to more fun next time!

Indeed!

Add me to the list of those who nearly peed themselves reading your teachers' Sound Off. I have to admit a slight preference for last week, if only for the outbreak of Killer Zombie Unicorns -- but both issues are hilariously brilliant.

OMG! Bennet wrote BOTH of those! She is our frakking hero, no?

No! Yes! Bennet is our supah-hero with cheese! (She needs her own theme song.)

Aw shucks, t'weren't nothin. However, a super hero is nothing with out her comrades-in-arms the Deftly Dangerous [livejournal.com profile] dark_roast and the Editorix (like a dominatrix but with red pens and a dictionary) [livejournal.com profile] spadada!

The KZU (say it out loud quickly and it sounds like "kazoo") are really just my favourite thing. I'm trying to find a way for them to make a return.
