The Vampire Diaries is baaaaaaack

A SOAP DISH? ARE YOU FREAKIN' KIDDING ME DAMON? A SOAP DISH IS WHERE YOU HIDE THE SUPER-DUPER IMPORTANT MOONSTONE?

I'm sorry, you're right, it wasn't technically a soap dish. IT WAS A BOWL OF DECORATIVE SOAPS!!!

SO. STUPID.

Remember when Mason hid the moonstone at the bottom of a well filled with vervain and snakes? Good idea times.

This week for more convoluted schemes we had to go to the girls: specifically Isobel and Katherine who were crossing and double crossing every which way and each other. It was a little hard to keep up at times. Still, all their scheming didn't really help in the end: Katherine is stuck with the new hybrid Alariclaus; Isobel is dead.

Poor, poor Elena. She has now had to watch three of her parents die. I want John to stay safe, if only so that she doesn't have to witness a fourth.

It wasn't cool for Elena to sacrifice herself to save everybody; it's not cool for Bonnie to do that either. New plan, people.

I like that Matt and the Sheriff are in the know now. It seems like Matt will be going undercover, pretending to have forgotten everything.

Jenna needs to have things explained to her, though. It's really awful that she is still in the dark and I though Sara Canning did a great job with what little screen time she had. Maybe Jenna could band together with Matt and the Sheriff and they could have their own missions. Who says the chosen ones are the only ones allowed to fight evil?

If you haven't seen this already, you must: some guy made his own Muppet Theatre Playset from scratch and it is so freakin' cool! I love it and I want it but I have neither the talent nor the patience to do it myself.

This is a series of pictures depicting historical costumes entirely made out of paper. It's amazing work.

This is really only good for a laugh. It's the trailer for Anonymous, which takes the theory that Shakespeare wrote none of his plays and turns it into a big budget, conspiracy laden epic from the director of The Day After Tomorrow and Independence Day.

The tag line: We've all been played.

Snerk.

OMG, that Muppet Theatre is just about the most awesome thing ever! *covets*

Isn't it amazing? The making-of pictures were so interesting.

LOL. My thoughts exactly. It was so dumb I was wondering if maybe the real moonstone was somewhere else and Katherine found a fake one or something.

Yes! What a good twist to have one of the most clueless people on the show (the other being Jenna, obvs!) suddenly only pretending to be clueless, and actually working against our heroes in secret.

I feel bad for Caroline though. Caroline's storyline is basically the reason I watch the show these days.

It's a great way to involve Matt more in the vampire drama - and thus get more airtime - without joining the gang. I really feel like the writers know what they're doing. The day they slip up is the day my soul is crushed.

By the by, have you read the Dan/Blair spoilers for the next two episodes? I have so many thoughts and feelings but I'll say no more if you're staying unspoiled.

No, I *was* spoiled for GG all along, but the other night I was just thinking that there's only 5 episodes left and I don't want to ruin all the surprises, even if they're bullshit, Chuck-and-Blair-belong-together surprises, you know? And then the next day I read that someone had posted in detail about the next two episodes, so I figured it was a good time to take a step back.
