This was truly a work of art. The sequence of the story flowed very well and it did have a distinct whiff of something gone wrong. I kind of had an inkling when you described Arthur who managed to never get stains.
All of the characters were true to the movie, especially Cobb. It feels as though he can't still grip reality. Then Mal shows up as an unpleasant surprise to all of us. The ending was really great. Had me going back and re-reading the parts.
