The most ridiculous thing ever

'Bones'  is an American TV show starring Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz. 

(I don't watch it)

But I do know that it is based on the novels of Kathy Reichs.

So if the show is based on these novels, then can someone tell me why another author (Max Allan Collins) is writing a new novel based on the show?

I mean, can't people just go an read the original novels by Kathy Reichs?

It just seems really, really ridiculous to me.

Maybe they wanted fresh storylines and Kathy didn't want to write them. I dunno, but Bones is awesome, it's my newest obsession.

It's because the only character in the books is Brennan. All the others were created for the show.
