This was a really good ep. Not as good as last week's but still very, very strong.

We finally learn about the bus crash victims but I still feel this sense of disconnection with the mystery. Maybe if this sort of thing had happened earlier in the season, then I could have cared more. And now that we've 'met' the victims I still don't care - except for Meg.

One of the victims, Bettina (sp?), was sleeping with Dick. She has the same name as his mother I believe. Um, ew!

Anyway, the whole experience has only served to reinforce Veronica's belief that the whole thing is about her - something I've had trouble believing. It was nice to see her doing some actual investigating - however I would have liked to have seen her on the bus wreckage.

Ryan Hansen was so 'on' in this ep. His performance as Dick continues to provide much entertainment. Dick's so stupid and yet so funny. And his t-shirts just get better and better.

Wallace and Logan finally talk! Yay! And they bond! Double yay! Dohring and Daggs played their scenes really well - who knows, maybe Logan and Wallace will become good friends.

And how sweet was it that Logan tried to help Veronica by getting a good grade? And how Wallace recognized this and told Veronica to cut Logan some slack? Squee!

I loved Logan and Veronica's first scene together. They weren't all better but they are in a better place after the dance. I felt the flashback wasn't that hot though - nowhere near as hot as last week's dance. It was really poorly shot. The needed to get up in L/V's faces - Dohring and Bell convey so much through their facial expressions which is why previous makeout sessions (at the Camelot, outside his house, in the bathroom, in his house) have been so hot - we could see them enjoying it.

I do love that Logan was enjoying the flashback and JD's expression when he said 'let me finish' was so awesome.

Their second scene together was also kinda cute. Logan's concern for her and the way she immediately tried to put some distance between them by bringing up Hannah - they both still have feelings for each other and Veronica trying to run away is a very clear sign away. She's always been afraid of trusting Logan, of loving Logan because she cares so much for him (so says the shipper).

Telling her she looks like Steve Buscemi was so funny - at least to me. I love Buscemi and as I write this I've got on the sound track to 'Reservoir Dogs'. I totally agree with Mr Pink's opinions on tipping.

Was Keith going on those dates to find the receptionist or was that just a coincidence? I think it was on purpose.

And Veronica gets into Stanford. She'll end up at Hearst of course. But I must say, my happy dance when I got into university was a lot bigger and better than her's - and my school isn't Stanford.

So I'm giving this ep a 9 out of 10. Normally I add an extra 0.5 for good L/V interaction but I was fairly unimpressed by the car kiss - as I see it, a waste of so much potential.
