I haven't been so nervous taking a test in ages. To be honest though, I only knew 10 outright - I made educated guesses for Malvolio and Valentine based on their names and where the plays are set.
Anyway, this reminds me of a poem I read last semester (I should have been listening to a bunch of speeches being given by my fellow classmates but one can only listen to the definition of 'tone' so many times before one gets very bored indeed and actually starts reading the textbook!!!).
Shakespearean Sonnet by R.S. Gwynn
(With a first line taken from the TV listings)
A man is haunted by his father's ghost.
A boy and girl love while their families fight.
A Scottish king is murdered by his host.
Two couples get lost on a summer night.
A hunchback murders all who block his way.
A ruler's rivals plot against his life.
A fat man and a prince make rebels pay.
A noble Moor has doubts about his wife.
An English king decides to conquer France.
A duke learns that his best friend is a she.
A forest sets the scene for this romance.
An old man and his daughters disagree.
A Roman leader makes a big mistake.
A sexy queen is bitten by a snake.
Very droll. Most are obvious but a few gave me pause. However, I think I've got them all figured - anyone want to take a guess?

Date: 2008-09-11 09:37 am (UTC)I think: Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Midsummer Might's Dream, Richard III, Julius Caesar, Henry IV Part One, Othello, Henry V, Twelfth Night, As You Like It, King Lear, Titus Andronicus or Coriolanus (could be either: both Roman leaders, both make mistakes), Antony and Cleopatra.
I was really lucky to do a unit on Shakespeare last year with a member of the RSC. It was good fun.

Date: 2008-10-18 05:29 am (UTC)I am so sorry to come here to your lj regarding the last email I sent you. I am just wondering if you got it. It had a few questions... even though now that the weekend is here, did I lose out? Oh dear!
I hope to hear from you when you can.

Dearest you,
OMG! I am extremely honored and just elated to be chosen in part! I will definitely do the best I can and thank you so much for allowing me to be part of this community! I do have a question though. Do I have to submit the finished newsletter to you before it's published? That's how they did it over at the Heroes community and wondered if you go through the same process here. And from what I got from your response, just go through the daisy_watch community and skim through posts for anything PD related, along with the rules that you set, right? Just want to make sure I get it all in before I start next week. Wait, did you send me the password? *scratches head* And oh! Is there a specific time you like the newsletter to be? Like if I do Thursday, let us say and I put it up before midnight Friday, is that ok? Or is there a specific time frame? I hope I am not bombarding you with too many questions. Thank you once again for giving me this chance. I am so grateful. Hope to hear from you.
In faith,
Djuna
*fingers crossed* Hopefully I can still help you out with the newsletter.

That's basically it. If you come across anything appropriate, put it in.

Post whenever you like on Thursday - just make sure you catch most of the entries from Tuesday and Wednesday. I find it easiest to just read this page (http://daisy-watch.livejournal.com/friends) and include what is appropriate until you get to the last newsletter. When I post the newsletter on Monday, I'll go back and include everything since your post.
I hope this answers your questions, but if you've got more, feel free to ask! ;-)

And great! That sounds wonderful. Just one more question. Is there a template I should go by or do I just follow the list as the previous newsletter?
I keep checking my email to see if I missed it but no, I have not received any sort of invite.
:/
I get it. I knew it. Thanks dear.

Date: 2008-10-23 01:14 am (UTC)There's no template - just follow the previous newsletter as best you can. If you'd like a template, I can make one.
I resent the invite. Try going here (http://www.livejournal.com/manage/invites.bml) to 'manage your invites'.

Date: 2008-10-23 07:15 pm (UTC)After ALL this time, now is when I know about the invites section?!! Oh, I am so embarrassed. But thank you for resending and being all so wonderful in helping me out. And oh, thank for suggesting in making a template. It's quite all-right. I will go by the previous newsletter.
Thank you so much!

Hope you enjoyed the holidays and sorry for making you worry over this!
