So I was researching Alex Kapranos, the lead singer of Franz Ferdinand, and I found this petition.

Apparently started by his girlfriend Eleanor Friedberger, of The Fiery Furnaces, it has been supported by God, Jesus, celebrities both dead and alive, fans and fictional characters. Some of the comments are quite funny.
