So I got my new credit card today and upgraded my account.
But right now I really need to talk about the latest episode of 'Veronica Mars'.
Excellent episode. Really, really great.
I feel like I've been kicked in the stomach but in a good way, you know?
1. I thought we were going to see Logan confessing something to Veronica but we didn't. So last week's cliff hanger seems like a cheap trick now. But I did like that little moment between them in the hallway. They were both really talking to each other. Was really nice.
2. Dick and Logan are in AP English with Veronica? I firmly believe that Logan is smart but Dick? But then Dick was in AP History with Hamilton Cho and Sabrina Fuller in 1.17 - but then they were both seniors then, and Dick is a senior now. Hmmm....
3. Cliff and Keith. So brilliant. Such great chemistry between the actors. But Cliff's briefcase - something bad is going to happen. I wonder if Aaron may be trying to set up Logan as well for Lilly's murder. The case for Duncan isn't as strong as it would be for Logan.
4. Aaron Ashmore's return as Troy was really great. He does have a nice chemistry with Kristen.
5. Michael Cera was awesome as Dean. Which makes me think he's the rapist. And I was hoping he'd be a member of a fraternity so someone could call out to him "Hey brother!" That would have been an awesome AD shout out.
6. Alia Shawkat was wonderful. That scene between her and KB at her room was nicely underplayed.
7. I demand Lamb/Madison fic right now.
8. Veronica was so wonderfully sassy. Tasering that guy - brilliant.
9. The Logan and Dick scene was so full of HoYay but it was really great. Ryan Hansen is teh awesomeness.
10. The big one. Logan and Hannah. JD really knocked this episode out of the park. He was so heart breakingly fantastic.
I don't think Logan loves her (I'm not sure Logan knows what real love is) but he does care deeply about her and all of this is going to make him a better person I think
But they used 'I know, I know, I know' by Tegan and Sara for their almost!sex scene. Now I'm always going to associate that song with that moment. Damn. I'd have liked them to use that song for an L/V scene but oh well.
11. Why did we hear nothing about Terrence being shot? "He's in intensive care" would have been fine. I hate it when the show does that.
12. Veronica's ditzy chick act never fails to amuse me but would she connect the dots to Woody Goodman already?
My episode grade 9.5 out of 10.
And I have just discovered that I'll be having a very Veronica experience tonight.
My sister's friend is sleeping over tonight and going to see my sister's new play. But she's just been given one of those fake baby things for school and she can't take it to the theatre so I have to look after it. Fun, fun, fun.

Date: 2006-03-31 12:30 pm (UTC)So, Hannah/Logan almost!sex wouldn't actually work for me if it weren't for HALF NAKED LOGAN! Damn. Would I hurt you if I say I'm squeeing over Hannah's departure? It was about time. I've had enough mopey Logan for one season in one episode. But of course, he can still mope over Veronica.
Lamb killed me! But Keith/Cliff killed me even more. Dude, those small grins they had on their faces? I LOVED them. Those two should always work together.
Dick/Logan? HoYay, indeed. Is it only us or is it really impossible to escape from the HoYay territory when it comes to Logan? He's such a damn shipper-material, for both sexes.
God. This comment is so dirty that you should lock it or something.

Date: 2006-03-31 12:54 pm (UTC)I'm actually really happy with the way the Hannah story line played out - but then my expectations were so low to begin with, it couldn't help but be better than I expected - but I'm glad she's gone.
She has served her purpose - to teach Logan a lesson - and now she can go and have fun in Vermont. I really don't want to see her again.
The HALF NAKED LOGAN was teh hottnes. But why did they have to use that song. I love Tegan and Sara and now whenever that song plays on my iPod I'm going to think of Logan and Hannah and them being all icky (note: I have no problem with Logan being 'icky' with Veronica. That suits me just fine).
As for Troy, he was really great. I'd never ship him with Veronica because Logan has spoiled me for all other men, but he's a good character and I wouldn't mind him popping up next season now again.
Ok maybe I should lock this because my reply is equally as dirty if not more.

Date: 2006-03-31 01:13 pm (UTC)Well, I've never imagined I'd roll my eyes for a Logan scene, but when Logan looked all so sad for the whole episode, I kinda did. But of course, I got distracted by either how so goddamn beautiful Logan looked when upset or Dick and their HoYay interactions. Damn me and my weak mind. I'm so damn easily tempted. :)
Yeah, Hannah is gone and Logan's FINALLY a free man now. He should go back to Veronica, like, stat. :)
Well, I'll ship Troy/Veronica if we can't get Logan/Veronica. Why am I being so selfish? I'm comfortable with V dating with others (well, as long as their names are Troy and NOT Duncan!) but not that happy when Logan sees others. Maybe it's because I know how Logan is such a devoted lover that he falls for the girls he dates... Now I'm just babbling. Hee.
I love that song, too! Yeah, it should have been a L/V scene. Damn.
