Studio 60: 1.04 and randomness

Studio 60 was really excellent this week. It's developing a good rhythm and I think it's just going to get better and better.
This ep was directed by Timothy Busfield (who plays Cal) and he did an wonderful job. Very tightly paced and some really impressive steady cam shots that went on for ages.
I looooove Harriet. Probably my favourite character at the moment because Sarah Paulson is excellent. Her chemistry with Matthew Perry is really good (especially when you consider that she's gay). Amanda Peet's portrayal of Jordan worked a lot better for me this week - she's especially good in her scenes with Bradley Whitford, where Jordan is allowed to be a bit more snarky. When she held up the phone - great timing!
I adore Nate Corddry. He's doing a fabulous job too. Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford were great too.
Christine Lahti is guest starring as a reporter and at first I was all "Why don't you just get Allison Janney instead of someone who just looks like Allison Janney" but I liked her too. She also had some good chemistry with Whitford.
I like how they are developing the relationship between Ricky and Ron. The way they stood up for the writer's team was really excellent. And hey! Lucy Davis is still on the show! AWESOME!
Like I said before it's finding its way now.
Today I bought a new laptop! I wanted to go Mac but they are way expensive and for $200 less than the cheapest MacBook I got twice the hard drive so I'm satisfied. Just need to get the wireless sorted out and then I'll be a happy camper. I'm going from a 6 GB hard drive to 120 GB - I don't know what I'm going to do with all that space.
Ok, that's a lie. I know exactly what I'm going to do with it.
1. Finally have all my music in one place.
2. Finally have all my programs in one place.
3. Finally be able to keep my TV shows for ever and ever instead of having to delete them.
4. Have a really big party in the rest.
Ish.
2 1/2 hours before Veronica Mars finishes downloading. I'm going to go and work on the new and exciting thing we'll be doing with
neptune_online, of which the latest issue is up! Go read, it's aaaawesome.
