Studio 60 was damn good this week. Loved it a lot.

This episode made very clear, for me at least, how Danny could be an addict. I wonder if Sorkin intended it that way - he probably did.

Tom/Lucy are totally cute.

Jack is awesome.

Dolphin girl - heeeeeeeeee!

Interesting how they keep on coming back to the race issues with Simon and Darius however I kind of wish they'd just settle it already. I guess that's coming in the next episode.

Matt and Harriet were in fine form with all their dysfunctionality. Very fun to watch, though I wouldn't be surprised if Matt punches Luke in the next episode.

Fun to see Harriet and Jordan hanging out. "Illiterate programming" is genius!

And wow, didn't Jordan get played. At least she knows it now and can take that blond bitch down!

That final musical cue with Jordan standing there as Danny walked out was very West Wing-ian. I wonder if Snuffy's dipping back into old scores.

So yes, I am psyched for the next episode ;-)

Studio 60 was great.

I just wish Danny would stop being creepy.

I totally understand the Danny as an addict from this episode. That makes me so happy to figure it out.

Tom/Lucy are pretty cute in a really dorkish way.

Oh, I'm totally fine with the race issues because I find it interesting that someone like Sorkin is tired of that same bullshit that happens within the Af-Am community.

My thing with wanting the race issue "settled" as it were, is so that Simon and Darius can move onto other story lines. Right now they only seem to deal with race issues and while I don't think that they should be ignored, I do want to explore other facets of their characters. It's kind of ironic that Darius doesn't want to be the 'black writer' and yet on the show, all their serious story lines deal only with race.

Having not grown up with racism or the history of slavery behind me (as an individual or a country) I'm coming at this from a different angle and sometimes I'm confused with race issues in America.

I find it interesting that someone like Sorkin is tired of that same bullshit that happens within the Af-Am community.

Could you elaborate on this?

In many cases, there are poorer Af-Ams in this country that resent the more well off Af-Ams who try and help bring up everyone else. Given that there have been Af-Am scholars that suggest that the elites should try to bring up everyone else, the problem is that the well off Af-Ams (whether they be well off economically, socially or politically) can be resented for their efforts.

This explanation is a bit abstract, sorry, but I can't think of a good example right now.

I really liked it too. I am so glad I did not give up on it.

And I love your layout. I guess it has been awhile since I left a comment in your journal, this is my first time seeing your header. It's preeeety.

Thanks ;-) I really love James Spader. When I saw this shoot I had to do something with them.
