Veronica Mars: Jumping the shark again and again since season 2

So, Veronica Mars is back.


I just don't get this show anymore. It's like the writers are all on crack.

I hate Veronica shooting those guys with the paintball gun.

I hate how we get a mention of Clemmons but don't get to see him.

I hate how we get an 09er we've never met before and yet we're expected to know her.

I hate that we get a trite Iraq story.

I hate that there are no voice-overs.

I hate how we get Veronica/Piz and Parker/Logan and yet Veronica/Logan is still clearly the endgame.

I hate that Dick still exists within this show.

Most of all, I HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE the fact that Veronica drank from DICK'S FLASK!!!!!

Seriously! What the fuck?


I can think of only three positives:

-the completely out of left field Mac and Logan scene
-Sacks
-emo!sleeves.

While watching this episode I thought: "I miss Duncan."

Huh. I was mostly opposite on everything (including the Mac and Logan scene, which I thought totally bombed).

Well, I did agree the MOTW was trite, the flask thing I had a minor quibble with (but still, it didn't bug me so much, as he drank first, didn't offer, she was in a state of irrational behavior, and Dick has long ago been retconned).

But I think she had every right to hit them with paint balls. I did like Clemmon's super brief cameo (he was on the video ducking). I had no problem with random '09er (although her acting was debatable).

And I don't miss Duncan at all. :)

Yeah, I really hate that ;-) I know that Ryan is awesome and everything but I don't think you should ever keep a character around just because you like an actor. It would be different if they actually gave him something to work with but juvenile man-whore is all he is and I can't forgive or forget his past actions.

I need more Clemmons than that. He's far too awesome for such a small, throw-away part.

Definitely at the beginning when he was getting Veronica coffee and I think there was another sighting too.

I haven't even watched it. I don't think I will, honestly. I just don't care anymore. Sigh... oh,show... why has it come to this?

At least I have all kinds of other delicious television to keep me happy. :)

I didn't hate this episode as much as I thought I would, but THIS? This aggravated me. HE TRIED TO DRUG HIS GIRLFRIEND. Don't accept anything from him. I can accept that Ryan Hansen is a "writer's favourite" but it doesn't redeem his character. I hated Dick more and more each second he was onscreen last night. He has no purpose.

Exactly! I can understand how Veronica might like a little Dutch courage but DICK?! It seriously blew my mind to see that.

I can accept that Ryan Hansen is a "writer's favourite" but it doesn't redeem his character.

As I was saying to miniorr above, you can't keep a character around just because you like the actor. Quite frankly, I'm offended by his continued presence on the show.
