Firstly: the cancellation of Veronica Mars. I'm not shocked or terribly saddened but I think if I were to watch the first episode I'd bawl like a baby. I'll always love it but it is time to move on...

To Life on Mars, a British show about a cop who gets hit by a car in 2006 and wakes up in 1973.

It is absolutely brilliant.

I've been hearing great things about it for a while and I was going to download it, but they've just started airing it here in Australia so now I don't have to. I'm not partial to cop shows but throw in some time traveling, an existential crisis and a rockin sound track and I'm on board.

And finally, The Office finale was fantastic, just what I wanted. These are some of the best characters on TV and it is a delight to watch them develop in realistic ways. If you aren't watching this show, you really, really should.

Life on Mars is excellent. The characters are just brilliant. Setting it in the 70s with the terrible fashions and kickass music is inspired. Yeah, I'm head over heels for this show ;-)

"Hi" back :-) I've still got two weeks before my finals. I just got through a mad couple of months full of assignments and every moment on lj has given me a guilt trip plus the VM fandom has been a complete and total bitchfest. The lovers and the haters - it made my head spin. I couldn't believe all the negative crap going on though it seems to be winding down now that the show is actually cancelled.

I'm SO GLAD you're liking Life On Mars. It's by far the best thing I've seen in quite some time, and I'm a little obsessed with it at the moment- although I have finished series 1 and 2 and that's all there is... No worries, there is fic (I have to wade through all the Sam/Gene slash, because it's really not my thing- if you enjoy slash fic there's plenty to come by) and icon making and all kinds of things to keep it interesting. A good LJ com for fic is lifein1973. They also have general cast stuff (John Simm! Woot!) and other fun tidbits. I've seen some nice icons at lifeonicons, and have even posted some there myself. I'll prob be posting more soon- feel free to snag as many as you like. :D

Also- The Office ftw! When I first began watching it, I thought it strange. I still think it's a bit strange, but it is a brilliant kind of strange and it's really won me over. I've only watched a bit- up to around ep 14 of S2- so I'm pleased there is a lot more to look forward to!

Thanks for the links! I haven't really poked about in the fandom yet but I would have guessed it is pretty slashy and I'm not into slash unless it is canon. Oh well. It's worth it.

The Office is made of awesome. It must be so nice to have more to watch for the first time. There is nothing like that first time ;-)
