Icons: In the mood for love and 2046

A couple of weeks ago I rented In the mood for love and 2046 as it has been ages since I've seen the former and I hadn't yet seen the latter. Most people seem to prefer 2046 to ITMFL but not me. Sure 2046 has the more original and complex story and greater artistic vision but Tony Leung's character is much less like-able. ITMFL is simpler in terms of narrative but that allows for all those heartbreaking scenes between Tony Leung and Maggie Cheung. Sure you know their love is doomed but it is beautiful to watch.

Anyway, I went a bit overboard with the icons.

These are gorgeous. I'm taking #19, #20 and #21. I don't watch 2046 for Tony Leung. For me, Chungking Express is his movie and Faye's, for 2046 I'm only interested in Faye/Kimura and Faye/Tony. The whole Zhangzi Yi storyline bored me witless :D I thought Faye and Kimura were adorable :)

Thanks! I don't mind Zhangzi Yi in most films but in 2046 she irritated me quite a bit - she's so petulant. The Faye storyline is my favourite part of the film and I think she and Kimura are gorgeous in it - though their hair on the train is terrible ;-)

True but you have to feel for him, he's so haunted. I do like him better in your icon though - Past Tak. Future Tak is sexy but Past Tak is adorable.

I have many pic spams for the Faye/Kimura scenes. Not sure if you've seen them already :)
