A couple of days ago I mentioned a pilot called Them starring James D'Arcy which will be about extraterrestrial terrorists.

Well it just got more awesome. Turns out it's being produced by David Eick from Battlestar Galactica and he's bringing Tricia Helfer with him (it's possible she'll do both shows).

Filming started yesterday. Concept is apparently based on a graphic novel called Six but google and wikipedia have failed me in that respect.

And may I draw your attention to The Tudors which stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers as King Henry the 8th. Historical inaccuracy has never been so pretty.

I remember Jonathan Rhys Meyers looking like this )

And Henry VIII looking like this )

[Poll #950884]

Still this show does look delightfully trashy and I do enjoy pointing out historical inaccuracies and I really, really fancy Jonathan Rhys Meyers AND Jeremy Northam who is also in this so I'll probably watch.

To all my friends and family who have doubted my psychic powers the joke is on you. I awoke this morning at 8:30 (which was, perhaps, the real miracle) certain in the belief that my latest order from Amazon.com would be sitting on my doorstep and it was (and sure I got the doorstep wrong but, hey, it was a step from a door from my house and I knew it would get here today so let's not split hairs ok?).

So now I have Season 2 of the US version of The Office, Our Mutual Friend on DVD and the two Dexter novels by Jeff Lindsay. In the words of Steve Holt, "Steve Holt!"

A poll about cheesecake just because I can )

My five favourite things from the most recent episode of The Office as a picspam.

Can this show get any better? )
