bennet_7: (Make our day (John/Aeryn - Farscape))
So the latest issue of the Veronica Mars character blog is up over at [profile] neptune_online. Read and enjoy my friends.

A big, huge, oh-my-god-you-saved-my-life thank you to [profile] rindee who wrote the Veronica article at the very last minute when I started to wig out, and who also wrote the Weevil and Wallace pieces. You are so amazing for doing that!

After publishing the edition a couple of hours ago, I actually took some time out, relaxed and watched a movie (the very excellent Night Watch, reviewed by Corny in this edition of [profile] neptune_online) something I haven't done in ages what with school and everything. Will post some more thoughts on the film tomorrow.

Right now, I've got a bunch of VM fics swirling around in my head that I thought of while writing my epic essay on Alexander the Great, so maybe I'll try writing one of those.

And finally, TWoP is going to be recapping Farscape during the summer hiatus. How awesome is that?

There has been a lot of fandomy talk on my flist in the past couple of days, but I don't want to re-hash that here. I'd rather just tell you how much I think you all rock. If I had the time I would write something nice about you individually but Hellenistic Greece (not to be confused with Hellenic Greece) demands to be studied and written about, so I won't - well not tonight anyway ;-)

Though I don't always comment, I do try to read all your wonderful, amazing, hilarious and insightful posts and they entertain me immensely; thank you.

And thanks for letting me blather about the most ridiculous things, try to be funny and ABUSE THE CAPS LOCK EVERY NOW AND AGAIN. I appreciate it more than I can say.

ETA: You'd think lj would include 'flist' as correct in the spell check wouldn't you? But alas, it is always picked up as being incorrect.

I wish I'd never seen the film Alexander, Oliver Stone's 'vision' of one of history's greatest leaders. The film gets a lot of the history right but unfortunately they cast Colin Farrell as Alexander. He is devoid of the charisma that the real Alexander had and had to have in order to achieve what he did.

And as I write this essay on  Alexander the Great, I can't get Colin Farrell in a terrible blond wig out of my head. The film has warped my perception of this amazing historical figure.

Boo.
